We are the oldest and the most reputed units in this business in the country. Our up-to-date facility was originally established in 1965 for undertaking shot/grit blasting of fabricated/cast and other parts such as window air conditioner housings, transformer tanks as well as castings used for motor bases, monobloc pump bodies and others. To cater to our clients we have a large 30′ x 10′ x 10′ grit blasting booth, complete with an automatic grit recycling system and pollution control equipment.

We also undertake Metal spraying and metallising activity. We use a powder fed metallising gun where the feedstock is pure metal powder. Our machineries were supplied by FW Berk & Co of UK. Our experience is that powder process is a better process in terms of quality of the finished job. There are very few people who have the facility to carry out metallising by the powder spraying method. We have the flexibility to spray Zinc, Copper, Aluminium or any alloyed/unalloyed metal on the job.

We have the latest state of the art compressors and blasting equipment run by highly experienced manpower which ensures work of highest quality on each and every job. Many of our jobs are inspected by third party inspectors and they always endorse our quality.

For attending to on site jobs portable grit/shot/sand blasting units were designed and fabricated by us in-house. Each incorporates a large compressor which is run by an electric motor or a diesel engine. The equipment is totally self contained and portable and is used for grit/shot/sand blasting large structures such as storage tanks, pressure vessels and reactor columns which are too bulky to be brought to our Works. 

The latest addition to this unit is equipment for shot-peening with glass beads. This is done for stress-relieving of the surface being treated. It is used by manufacturers of special purpose equipment and components such as high speed rotors, intricate tools, specially fabricated assemblies Tools and Dies and others.

We also have a similar plant in the industrial area of Ambattur  at Chennai  to cater to the requirements of Southern India. 

Both our units are in charge of experienced managers. 

THE MOST EFFECIENT TECHNIQUE

SPRAY GALVANISING AND PAINTING FOR PERMANENT PROTECTION

There cannot be two opinions, that such big venture, as they are the cogent proof of your skill and specialty must have a great longevity and hence, if somebody comes forward to help you in this respect, we are sure, you will welcome the idea.

It is a truth which does not require any proof, that Steel, if it is to be protected from weather/water or any other type of corrosion, it should be spray galvanised. Even the rusted structures or big steel products such as vessels, tanks, doors, windows etc., can get ‘re-birth’ or new second life’ if they are grit blasted and spray galvanised with Zinc or Aluminium.

1 Shot blasting is done. The smallest particles of rust are removed to get bright metal finish on the job. Shot blasting is not done. The material is dipped in prickling acid bath for cleaning.
2 Thickness of Zinc coating is about 75 – 100 microns. Thickness of Zinc coating is about 25 microns.
3 Mat finish surface is obtained. It becomes ideal surface for painting and the paint never peels off. Due to the Chemical smoothness of the surface, painting becomes difficult and the paint peels off after some time.
4 No restriction on size. We have recently done a tank of size 30’ long and 10’ Diameter. There is restriction on size as the material should be smaller than the size of the Zinc bath tank.
5 In this process, there is no chance of deterioration in the shape of material by heat. When the material is dipped in acid, water and hot Zinc at high temperature above 500°C, there is deterioration in the shape of material by heat. 
6 Life is permanent. There is not a chance of impurity remaining in the surface as the virgin metal is sprayed directly immediately after shot blasting. Approximate life of galvanising is 10 to 15 years. But sometime, it is not even one to two years, due to improper cleaning and higher impurities of iron particles in Zinc solution.
7 Quantity of Zinc used for certain area is about 3 Kg. Quantity of Zinc used for equal area is 1 Kg.
8 Metal spraying is charged on area. So, thinner parts cost more while heavier parts cost less. Galvanising is done on weight basis. Thinner parts cost less while heavier parts costs more.
9 Treatment is mechanical Treatment is chemical.

You may find it interesting to know that with removing the rust by the process of Grit/Shot/Sand blasting, and Spray galvanising, and thereafter giving a coat of Zinc chromate and a coat of paint, and all this, with a small additional cost will give a life long and unprecedented protection.
